Role

Industry
UI & UX
Duration
3 months

Stage 1. Exploring Webflow
Digital Invitation for wedding event quite a trend during the time I am getting married. At top of my head I thought, 'Yea, I am a designer, I can handle this, I also can do it.' BUT. I CANNOT DO CODING. And this is the start where I start discovering Webflow. Webflow is a visual website building platform that allows users to design, build, and launch custom websites without needing to write code - definition by Google AI Overview. At that time, this is among a few platform that stood out to me, so i start watching youtube tutorials, sign in to webflow and start exploring the tools in it.
Stage 2. No Template, Only Youtube Tutorial
I do not have much time. Its almost time for me to send out my invitation so I need everything done ASAP. So, without any templates, i opened back my youtube tutorial and start designing and arranging the design. So i design the landing page by section. Some section I followed a certain tutorial and other section from other tutorials. Although this is no code platform, you still need to understand how website works, and how design works translated in code behind the scenes. After much difficulties, ensure the responsiveness readable although not perfect but still looks good (especially mobile view). Its time to launch.
Stage 3. Launching
Proofing and Testing: Double check everything again. Texts, images and responsiveness and try out everything in staging view.
Domain: Unfortunately, most of my budget go to wedding ceremony. As I will be sharing the link myself, I just use Webflow free domain. Quite long but it is what it is.
Publishing: Yeay, its all published! All working fine and to this day I believe it still works. Check it out here:

Final Say and Special Thanks,
One of the project that open my eyes to the deeper world of UI and UX. Not and advanced design project but proud of my self for the success of finishing this project.
And I would like to give special thanks to my wife's bff for helping drawing a cute portrait of us. I used her illustration for this landing page hero section. Like it? Her link is below for you to ask if she's opening commision or not:
